Dear Pastor, Church and All Supporters;
Luke 6:38 (KJV) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
This report will detail some developments in the Malawi mission work of which, I am still a big part of. Hardly a day goes by that I am not speaking with different pastors, both in Malawi as well as Mozambique. Thank the LORD for the technology, many things can be said, advised, and instructed, however there is a limit what technology can do. Many things can only be done hands on, boots on ground and in the case with most tribal people, this is the rule of thumb.
As I had written about Eric Dinala, he was forced to seek work in South Africa to find funding for his family and school fees for his son whom had been selected for the (Secondary Education levels) (9-12).
His desire was to be involved in the mission work but with financial constraints this was handicapped. Eric and I picked up communications the last part of 2021 and by the time I was back in the USA, I told him (Eric) that I would see to it that he could return to Malawi (IF) indeed his heart was in the work.
I manged to send Eric One Thousand Dollars to assist him in travel, expenses and excise duty on some of his personal effects back to Malawi. I did report on this, I asked no one with the exception that I would like to see some support coming in for Eric. I did mention to my pastor and recommend that we take the support that is generated for the Malawi mission work and divide this into half add enough to make eight hundred dollars a month and send four hundred to Eric, and four hundred to Edwin.
Those reading this, before you get sideways with me regarding my suggestion, allow me to deliberate on the ‘realness’ of the Malawian economy with USD’ and support to a Malawian such as Eric or Edwin.
I averaged four thousand a month in the work in Malawi – each month nothing was kept back it was all invested in the work. Such expenses as you have here, I had there, rent,
utilities, phone bill, cell phone (prepay) vehicle (s) maintenance, upkeep, Ins, taxes, payroll for workers, groceries, fuel, spare parts, hardware, building and construction expense, Bible school operations expense and so on so on.
I lived on the (less expensive) side of town, as housing was cheaper, so too crime was worse, (a trade off). For twenty years I maintained the work, taught the Bible School and the work grew into Mozambique, many years I have informed all in reports, slide presentations (evidence) different persons have come and visited the work, again witnesses and testimonies attest to the work the LORD did through my home church, supporting sister churches and myself as the one on the front line.
This all being said, I set things in order in Malawi and held a annual bible conference on the property that I purchased (5 acres) – 2500.00, built a building (7500.00) invested in materials and labour. This was set up for the continuance of the work, the Bible school was, and is the backbone of any mission work, (IF it is operated as we believe the N.T. to teach), Total invested in the property and building was 10,000. Which came out of the (land and building fund) I have shown all over the country the slide presentations of both the Malawi and PNG mission works.
I asked the pastors if they wanted the bible school to carry one (all concurred) and agreed for this, I asked Eric and Edwin if they were prepared to continue teaching with me sending in the material for the lessons. They publicly agreed and signified by a verbal confession.
That was in 2015, I was on my way to PNG, since then not one year has the Bible School been operated, (?) Remember how Paul wrote and talked about the problems of the Galatians, and the Corinthians? It wasn’t just about the blessings!
I too have tried to keep you the supporter abreast of all the details of the work, so too now. No one person here in the USA, nor no Malawian knows that mission work better then I, not Edwin, not Eric, not any pastor here or there. I speak the language, know the customs, mannerism, economy and lifestyles of the Malawians and Mozambique.
For a Malawian couple such as Edwin and his wife (two daughters) and now (recent) twins, living on 6-700.00/ a month would equate to 8-10,000. A month for an American couple living under the same economy, under similar conditions perinate to one’s standard of living and background.
Please do not underestimate the importance of what I say, I in no wise ever, have never tried to interfere with the LORD’S people and HIS Work, however, when I know something to be wrong or unbiblical then I feel it incumbent upon me to inform you, and after that it is between you and the LORD to be accountable and a good steward of what the LORD has given us.
I will not say much at this point about the work in Malawi until I have made a trip there and gathered enough intel to confirm or deny reports that I have been hearing for the past
three years. I ask you to engage in prayer with me that the LORD would give me wisdom, open doors where needed and close where I don’t need to go.
I have invested in Eric Dinala’s return trip to Malawi having spent the one thousand, and lately I have sent him some support (three hundred dollars) to assist him in repairs of his
motorbike, house and family needs, and school fees for his son. I am not asking anyone to reimburse me, no, no, no, rather keeping you on board with the work I am involved in.
If there are any who are supporting the Malawi mission work, and for some reason you don’t agree to the ‘sharing’ of the support money between Eric and Edwin, then please write me an email to (panagioite04@gmail) or you can call me on (903) 830-0052, I don’t do business via text, rather I need to hear a voice!
My pastor Elder Steve Fulton knows all about what I speak of and should you desire to counsel with my pastor then that is ok by me, however bear in mind my pastor and I discuss everything in the mission work.
I brought Edwin here to the US to (recommend) to the brethren to help continue the work in Malawi – he has not been ordained yet, nor has he publicly declared that the LORD has specifically called him to be a missionary, I am not trying to detract or belittle no, no, no I am setting the facts straight in view of some (misguided) ideas and thoughts.
N.T. Mission work is just that (mission work) going, doing, working oneself out of a job). No N.T. example for continued support for a local pastor claiming to be a Missionary!
N.T. Mission work is not (just) visiting churches (pre-organised) taught, autonomous and self-governing, rather it is evangelising, going preaching, reaching new areas, and new people, (Mt. 18-20) Acts. 1: 8)
Again, I want to reiterate, when I brought Edwin to the USA and recommended support the idea behind this was, (support for the Malawi mission work) not per say (Edwin), bear with me as I explain. The mission support was to generate funding in order to operate and maintain the Bible School for the pastors. Land, building, bathing stalls, toilets, all were prepared, it was a (turn-key-job) nothing to do but walk into the school building and start teaching. Even the lessons were prepared by (me).
Of course, Edwin and Eric would need some of this support to care for their immediate families (NOT extended) and their own personal needs.
If any has other ideas about what the support is for, and want to qualify this with me, we can discuss on the telephone as I have outlined.
With Eric back in the work, he will need some support too, bear in mind the economics that I have outlined within Malawi.
In Malawi’ economy any city or village Malawian, take Maize as their staple diet, cost – about 10.00 / a 50 kg bag. With a family of four (two children) this will last about a month. I am just giving you the supporter food for thought!
At the moment, Malawi is still making it compulsory for any incoming persons to have a digital covid19 passport. Perhaps in the near future this will be relaxed, GOD is the one who holds the keys to the doors.
Please please do not think that I am downplaying anything, rather I am keeping you up to speed on all things.
In His Name,
Missionary Peter Hall}
