Dear Pastor, Church, Supporters;
Romans 12:17 — Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
1 Corinthians 4:2 — Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
This report is being written from where I stay in Mt. Hagen, Western Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea.
I stay with a local family whom I have known since the early eighties. The accommodations are small but adequate. I have determined to stay here for the sake of communications and business until such has been fulfilled.
The update on the shipment of the truck is as follows: the shipper we are using has indicated that the shipment of the truck from port to port will run near eighteen thousand dollars. There is an additional fee of fifteen hundred dollars for the truck to be shipped as a “hazardous cargo item,” meaning there will be some fuel in the tank, fuel lines, engine, etc.
I have counselled with other men besides my pastor, and we concur that this is the best method of shipment to ensure safe mechanical operation of the vehicle once it arrives in PNG.
I have sent an email to the shipper and seller of the vehicle to prepare it now for shipping.
It has been determined that a timetable of sixty days will be required for the vessel to reach Port Lae, PNG.
I will forward an update once I have more news regarding this matter.
When I depart Mt. Hagen next week, my communications will halt until I return to Mt. Hagen at such time the LORD gives me freedom.
Thanking each of you for your continued support and prayers — may our LORD continue to direct each of you and keep you in the centre of HIS will.
In His Name,
Missionary Peter A. Halliman
