Dear Pastor, Church, All Supporters;
(Psalms 37:23) “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”
(Proverbs 16:9) “A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”
Mission Report No. (4) continued from No. (3) in series of reports.
15th of October 2021 I loaded up the vehicle, Jared, mum, and I and drove to Salinas, seeing we had one day free I decided to spend some time with my son and mum enjoying part of GOD’S creation, we spent the evening near the seaside of Monterey California.
The North Pacific, (I am used to the South Pacific) with its magnificent and endless waves, crashing upon the seashore…(Psalms 104:9) “Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.”
(Job 38:11) “And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?”
I have had many questions from people over the years, as to how, is it fair for GOD to judge those who have never heard the Gospel preached and they die and go to hell… my response is Firstly, GOD has written upon the heart of every man…..
(Ro 1:19) ¶” Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.”
(Ro 1:20) “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”
To stand and muse over GOD’S creation, will not only connect the dots that there is a supreme power, higher than any man, government, or spiritual power BUT the creation will shout out the message of creation, the detail, the precision, the functioning will prick the heart in conviction that there is One, the Creator, the GOD of Heaven and Earth.
We spent the biggest part of the day driving along Hwy 1, and the seventeen-mile, pebble beach drive. What amazing scenery that GOD has painted on HIS canvas called (Earth).
That afternoon we met up with Bro. Gene Palasket, the accommodations were sorted out and mum would stay with Bro. Palasket and his wife, Jared and I would stay in a local hotel. Services would start the following morning being Sunday and would follow through that week.
We all meet people in life who are just (keepers), the ones you still find on the backstretch (if you don’t know what that means) – look it up. Through the years of my knowing Bro. Gene Plasket and his wife, they have always been not just social, but entertaining, (GOD’S way). When there have been conflicts and rumours, accusations made against me, Bro. Plasket would find a way to call me personally, not through a third party but himself and would directly ask me and hear my answer to the matter.
I do believe most problems in churches and amongst pastor brethren would be put to rest and much confusion would be aborted [IF]… men would just be men!!
Sunday morning, the meeting started, there were four churches that covenanted together to host a two-week meeting, let me just say whilst I am here in the USA, this is the mission field, and my time, effort, and energy is at service where I may be and can be. Not every church wants a meeting, not everyone wants these ‘special meetings’ any longer. I don’t condemn those who do not participate in such, however I will say this, when we measure the timeline between these ‘special meetings’ within our churches, the fellowship and brethren and (IF) there are long delays for such, yet at the same time there are (frequent) worldly events, and just (common-living) and no hungering or thirsting for (more) perhaps we need to check the thermostat.
I will not go into all the messages, time, fellowship, meals, who was there and or not, as this was for the church in Greenfield, CA, and the saints there. If you were there, then you know what I speak about, and if not then just know, it is The LORD, that must build the [house] otherwise, (Psalms 127:1) A Song of degrees for Solomon. “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”
Each evening we had special services, those who were there, the fellowship was sweet, the Word of GOD will always find its place in the lives of HIS people. The LMBC of Greenfield has always been a blessing to me, the fellowship is real, the food is more than one can eat, and the joy of our LORD can be seen, and felt.
Bro Gene Plasket took time to escort my son and I driving around to see some of the countryside, we viewed some areas where he had spent many years of his younger life, the military base around that area, and many of the farmlands. I want to say this about Bro. Plasket, he has always demonstrated to me the spirit of meekness, and great love.
What did the LORD say, by this all men shall [know]…? (John 13:35) “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Sister Plasket is a wonderful godly woman, who made sure that food was always on the table, the needs and cares of the human side was carefully laid out, mum and sister Plasket complimented each other. I have many mothers around the country, many fathers, many sisters, and brothers, and a few mates. Until our next report, may our LORD keep each in the centre of HIS will.
