Dear Pastor, Church, and All Supporters,

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Part Two (2) Mission Report being continued from Part One

On the Second of October I set off from Henderson, TX with my son Jared, and me mum packed up and headed for Amarillo, TX.  The morning was early (as usual), most folks can’t get out of bed until the sun is up.  The drive throughout the day passed and by and by we arrived in Amarillo, TX, being a full day, we found accommodations and set in for the evening.

On the Third of Nov, we were in transit, and into the Fourth we had arrived early to the Grand Canyon, here I will pause and make some comments…

No pictures, no videos, no media of any sort can ever duplicate the ‘realness’ and awesomeness of this ‘great creation’, even standing upon the rim, at any direction, any angle, any direction, looking and gazing, puts one in absolute perspective, of which, declares the insignificance of man, who are we that the LORD would choose to dwell with us?

Job 28:10 He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.

What has man done? Or made that is so great?  Jared had some questions, wanting to know more about how this great chasmic gorge developed, I replied, its simple, I know not only the history, but also the owner… as Jared waited for that ‘college, university explanation’ he heard more in ten mins about GOD’S creation and His Name, Jehovah GOD.

It takes more ‘faith’ to make up, the impossible and try to explain away the ‘realness’ into speculation and nothingness.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

On the Fourth of Nov, we had our Bible reading and study, prayer and we set off, crossing into California and by early afternoon we had arrived at the residence of Pastor Rick Perdue.  The drive had been safely conducted, and absolutely lovely was the landscape, with each State, its own beauty and one change giving way to another, each having its own distinct demarcation.

I had started my journey from Damascus, N.C. and to Roseville, CA via (I 20) and (I 40) to (I 5) in CA was just under three thousand miles.

With my mum being eighty-seven years matured, my son twenty-two and myself sixty, different thoughts, ideas, observations, different needs and different demands for all of us. Three generations travelling along a journey in life, much more definitive than just a drive across this country.

May our LORD keep each of you in the centre of HIS will, until we meet again.

This will conclude my second report in series.

I want to thank each of you for your continued support and prayers for the work, my family (those whom you know and met) and for myself.

In His Name,

Missionary Peter A. Hal
