Dear Pastor, Church, and All Supporters;

(Psa. 37:23,24) "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.”

The past few weeks have been eventful, with some good news and some bad news, however all news is no news with GOD, for HE (Isaiah 48:3) “I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.”

I will bring you the reader up to date on our situation, plans, and efforts being made to further the Kingdom of Christ.

In previous reports I informed regarding my wife securing health Ins and setting up some doctor appointments. This has been achieved, and we have seen a couple doctors (eye specialists). The ending result has been determined that at this point she does not have Uveitis. This does not mean, nor did the doctors say she never had, however what they have determined is that she does not have any Uveitis at this time. She has had blood work checked and at this point, the tests came back negative. Her vision was tested and has improved (Thank the LORD), and thank you for all your prayers.

We have some more testing to do and more doctors appointments, however due to the health system this country offers under the leadership we have, as each of you know, ‘Things are an absolute mess’. We cannot get appointments with the infectious and tropical disease doctors in Birmingham until early, or mid summer.

I in good conscience with the LORD’S work, HIS people and the demands placed upon this end, cannot sit around and wait for a doctor’s office to open up. I have prayed, and laboured with the decision before me, and after counselling with other matured pastors including my own pastor who is both matured in the LORD, and HIS work, and one whom I place great confidence in when seeking counsel.

I will LORD willing depart the US on the 2nd of March for Malawi and remain there for no less then sixty days, and or perhaps ninety days, depending on the nature of the business I must attend to and how quickly I am able to sort through things.

Bear with me as I deliberate on the current demands, for many years in Malawi, the LORD brought into my life a friend (brother in the LORD) Allan who was always there for me. I helped him, and he helped me through the years, when I would prepare to make a trip back to the US, I would rely upon Allan to look after my house, and keep the workers accountable and paid. He would be there to pick me up at the airport and drop me off.

This time past as I began to wind down things in the mission work and load the shipping container for shipment to PNG, there were still things that had not sold and some items, which I simply stored at the mission property in Malawi.

The LORD called Allan home this past year, and since then I have had to organize someone else to collect the one second-hand vehicle, however the documents for that vehicle and the x-military truck I was trying to sell before departure last year had not sold, therefore I had left all this in the hand so Allan. Now I must return to sort through all this, the documents for the vehicles have been either stolen or lost, therefore, I must return to take care of this.

Whilst there, I will also spend time teaching in the Bible School which was built for this purpose. The rainy season will be ended and the pastors will be able to attend the school.

At such time we conclude our business in Malawi we will return to the USA and follow up with my wife’s doctors appointments and visits. After we have exhausted the testing and diagnostic work we then will make our preparations to carry on to PNG.

I started this report with a Bible verse… “It is the LORD that [orders] the steps of a good man…” AND HE orders the [STOPS] of a good man too. I have been trying to get to PNG now for some time however the time table is in the hands of the LORD. We will arrive in PNG not a minute too early, or too late but exactly when the LORD had planned before eternity.

On another note, I was reminded not so long ago by a preacher mate of mine whom I respect greatly (1 Timothy 5:8)But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

Therefore, I need to make a statement, my wife is my responsibility, and the LORD holds me accountable to make provisions for her (that includes her wellbeing).

I want to thank each of you for your continued support and sacrificial giving, for your prayers, and concerns regarding my wife and her conditions.

Your Missionary,

Peter Halliman
