Dear Pastor, Church, and All Supporters;
(Heb. 6:10) “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
The LORD has given us a new year, and the first month is already behind us. I have been very busy with engagements and am a little late in my mission reporting.
I will break up the report, and not write all in one setting, not that I fail in words, events, or energy to do this, but I have found over the years, months, and days that many are just not ‘prepared’ to read anything, which challenges the mind over five minutes. Therefore, I conclude that I have just that, in order to capture your attention before I loose you.
I will begin from the ending of the year as there are developments, which I find encouraging to myself and the work, and would like to think would encourage you too.
I will not weary you by repeating and being redundant with the helicopter story, though there seems to be an atmosphere of questionable motives by some.
I do plan on clearing the air – regarding this, and setting the record straight for what it is. You the reader, have the prerogative to believe, question, and raise suspicion to what degree you deem necessary.
Firstly, I have from the beginning kept everything up front to all, both in written reports, and in person. I stated from the beginning that (NO) support funds have been used in the helicopter training.
Secondly, I stated that when all this began I did not presume to know where any of this would go and to what end, however I did say that it was of the LORD and in HIS hands. From the beginning to where it is now, all the training, all the lodging, and expenses involved in this ‘helicopter training’ has been provided by the US Army and GOD’S people assisting where they could and did.
I took no mission support, nor asked for any and in GOD’S timing I have been able to complete more training – again to what end? Only the LORD knows. The last three days of this year I was able to do some training, whilst most everyone was off on holiday and enjoying family – I was training – where were you? And what were you doing?
I have completed the standard amount of hours to test for my solo helicopter pilot licenses. The potential for this to be offered whilst I am here in the USA is viable, but whether or not becomes a reality really depends on several factors of, which I will deliberate on in my next report.
The month of January has come and gone, I was able to visit some churches and brethren in OH and KY then a few days in between and over to N.C. for a fellowship meeting. It is The LORD who connects the dots for HIS servants, and people.
I want to bring to your attention what the LORD has allowed us to do in the timetable which HE gave us for the past months.
When we arrived here in mid-March 2014, I had no intention but to spend a few months her and carry on to the mission field. However, most of us claim we ‘believe, embrace, and preach [The Sovereignty of GOD] – however, I am coming to find out, that doctrine is only do-able when it applies to someone else.
It is the LORD who is Sovereign over the calendar – and that means mine too – I have been here for ten months doing the LORD’S work, having driven 48,000 miles in nine months time, having lived on the road, out of suite-cases, in and out of homes to the point of not knowing where we slept last.
I must say to you that our timetable for departure is near at hand, and I want to thank each of you who have invited us, kept us, entertained us in your home, or provided lodging for us whilst here on this mission field we say ‘thank you very much indeed’. We want to thank each of you for your sacrificial giving and the free-will offerings, which the LORD has enabled you to give.
I feel that we have been encouraged, and would like to think that we have in some small measure been an encouragement to you. Thank you for the opportunities we shared in fellowship and for all the prayers, which you have offered in our behalf.
I would like to say thank you for the food, and water you provided, gifts of divers sorts but most of all for the opportunity to serve in HIS Kingdom.
I want to thank each of you who prepared our bedrooms, making sure we had clean sheets on the bed, and were patient with my wife’s diet issues. It has not been easy and at best frustrating, however the LORD does teach us (John 13:34) “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”
“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:35)
